| Centrally
located right across the street from the Post Office, this
park boasts one of the largest
Moreton Bay fig trees in California. Planted in
1874, this tree is truly huge and actually dwarfs the
gazebo on the other side of the park.
This magnificent tree is
joined by a children's play area, a gazebo, picnic
facilities and restrooms.
Directions:
Southbound: From
the 101 take the Main Street exit. Turn right at the
bottom of the ramp and drive until you reach Ventura
Avenue. Turn right and then take the next left onto Santa
Clara. Drive until you reach Chestnut. You
will see the park on your right. The Post Office is
on your left.
Northbound: From
the 101 take the California Street exit. Be careful as you
reach the top of the ramp, as it empties quite abruptly
onto a major, and rather unmarked, intersection. Turn
right onto Santa Clara and drive
until you reach Chestnut. You will see the park on
your right. The Post Office is on your left.
