The Ventura Harbor is actually three marinas and a village.  Boating enthusiasts enjoy the harbor for its location between San Francisco and Los Angeles, the wonderful weather and the excellent shelter the breakwaters provide.  The rest of us come for the food and shopping.

The Harbor Village is 33 acres of  entertainment and shopping that features over 30 specialty shops and restaurants, a 36-horse carousel, narrated harbor cruises, pedal boat, electric boat, and kayak rentals, sport fishing, dive shop and charters.

In addition to the regular shopping and food, there is also a Fisherman's Market each Saturday morning. The Marina is home to many special events and is everybody's favorite place for watching fireworks on the 4th of July.

Of special interest is the mural project, which features the work of Ventura artist Michellino.  The murals were created by hand using 50,000+ pounds of stoneware clay.

Directions:
From the 101 take the Seaward Avenue exit and turn towards the water.  Turn left on Harbor Blvd and then right on Spinnaker Dr.  The Harbor Village is about a half mile on your right.
