This wonderful
museum has a broad
range of topics and exhibits tucked into a relatively
small space.
During our
visit the Museum was showing a traveling collection of
watercolor art. They also have a standing collection
of Ventura historical artifacts and an outdoor exhibit of
farm implements.
Of special
interest is the unique collection of 18th century
miniature figurines created by Ojai artist George Stuart.
Directions:
Northbound: From the 101 take the California Street
off-ramp. At the top of the ramp go straight to Main
Street. Turn left. The museum is four blocks
and on the left.
Southbound:
From the 101 take the Main Street exit. At the
bottom of the ramp turn right and stay on Main Street
until you reach the Museum on your right.
