Figueroa
Street Plaza
Ventura, CA 93001
This unique
little museum has an interesting business plan.
They're open all the time, through rain or shine.
You just have to peek in through the window and you can
enjoy their exhibits free of charge. (It kind of
reminds us of the Internet.)
The
equipment and pictures on display provide excellent
insight into what our early firefighters actually had to
endure. The museum is located in the Plaza directly
across from the Mission.
Directions:
Northbound: From the 101 take the California
Street off-ramp. At the top of the ramp go straight
to Main Street. Turn left. The museum is four
blocks and on the left.
Southbound:
From the 101 take the Main Street exit. At the
bottom of the ramp turn right and stay on Main Street
until you reach the Museum on your right.
